Robert & Tabitha Stone
Robert has been building homes since 1984 and log homes since 1999. Tabitha has been trying, sometimes even successfully, to keep up with him for the last five. From small additions, to grand log homes, multi-million dollar developments including lakes, ponds, roads, and just about everything else build-able, Robert has done it all. He is a perfectionist in all that he does, insisting on the absolute best. Although he is originally from Missouri, he has traveled the United States and the world, serving in the Unites States Marine Corps as President Ronald Reagan’s Crew Chief on HMX-1. After completing 8 years in the military, he returned home to Missouri to be near his family.
Coming from a medical background, Tabitha enjoys working with people and helping build their dreams. She takes care of all the non-building work, mostly dealing with tiresome paperwork, receipts and boring desk stuff, but likes to “help” out at the job sites for a change of scenery whenever she can get away. The best part of her job is meeting and getting to know the many awesome people who choose Show Me Log Homes as their contractor/dealer.
Robert and Tabitha are very family-oriented and spend most of their time in and out of work, with family. Having six kids, ages 15-22 keeps them on their toes, but also provides for some very dedicated help. As Show Me Log Homes is a family business, they like to include each of their children, as well as their parents, in the company.
Show Me Log Homes (under parent construction company, Double Diamond-S, LLC) is an unabashedly Christian company, putting Christ at the center of every project and decision made. It is their dedication to Christ, and therefore their dedication to people, that has made this company what it is today…a company with integrity, honor and character. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
Russ & Debbie Prothero
Russ and Debbie (Tabitha’s parents) have been in the construction business just about all their lives. As Debbie’s father was a contractor and landlord, she literally grew up in this business. Russ obtained all his vast knowledge and experience in building from his grandfather, working with his father-in-law, and just plain observation and learning the ropes. They have been landlords for over 35 years, moving from Hawaii where they raised their four kids, in 2000. Russ is also a real estate broker, which is helpful to customers looking for land in the area. They have been happily married for almost 46 years and have four children and thirteen grandchildren.
