Robert has been building homes since 1984 and log homes since the mid 1990’s. Tabitha has been trying, sometimes even successfully, to keep up with him for the last nine. From small additions, to grand log homes, multi-million dollar developments including lakes, ponds, roads, and just about everything else build-able, Robert has done it all. He is a perfectionist in all that he does, insisting on the absolute best. Although he is originally from Missouri, he has traveled the United States and the world, serving in the Unites States Marine Corps as President Ronald Reagan’s Crew Chief on HMX-1. After completing 8 years in the military, he returned home to Missouri to be near his family.
Coming from a medical background, Tabitha enjoys working with people and helping build their dreams. She takes care of all the non-building work, mostly dealing with tiresome paperwork, receipts and boring desk stuff, but likes to “help” out at the job sites for a change of scenery whenever she can get away. The best part of her job is meeting and getting to know the many awesome people who choose to build with Show Me Log Homes!
Robert and Tabitha are very family-oriented and spend most of their time in and out of work, with family. Having six kids, ages 20-26 keeps them on their toes, but also provides for some very dedicated help. As Show Me Log Homes is a family business, they love all the banter and humor each of their crazy family brings to the jobsites and office!
Show Me Log Homes is an unabashedly Christian company, putting Christ at the center of every project and decision made. It is their dedication to Christ, and therefore their dedication to people, that has made this company what it is today…a company with integrity, honor and character. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
Russ and Debbie (Tabitha’s parents) have been in the construction business just about all their lives. As Debbie’s father was a contractor and landlord, she literally grew up in this business. Russ obtained all his vast knowledge and experience in building from his grandfather, working with his father-in-law, and just plain observation and learning the ropes. They have been landlords for over 35 years, moving from Hawaii where they raised their four kids, in 2000. Russ is also a real estate broker, which is helpful to customers looking for land in the area. They have been happily married for 50 wonderful years and have four children and fifteen grandchildren. Finally, one of their favorite together-time hobbies is playing Santa and Mrs. Claus for nursing homes during the Christmas season!
Bethany has been working with our company full time for the last 4 years. She runs the front office and is her mom’s “right-hand man,” which has been her self-proclaimed occupation (as the oldest daughter) since she was born on her mother’s birthday! From answering phones, to taking such stunning photos and posting to all our many social media sites (that she single-handedly created), she has her hands full! She also ensures the office runs smoothly, keeping up with all the calls, emails, texts and messages from everyone and anyone seeking information about log homes. If that wasn’t enough, Bethany has started to help design and modify floor plans. She is a priceless addition to our business.
Joseph is the newest family member in our crew. After spending 5 years in the United States Marine Corps, he married his best friend Anna, and returned to Missouri to the log home building business 2 years ago. Joe’s attention to detail and amazing drive make him just about equal to the Energizer bunny. He is hard-working and loves making sure each job he performs is done to the absolute best of his ability. Although Anna is employed as a surgical tech, she loves to help the family out on her days off…visiting job sites and helping with advertising. We are so thrilled to have Joe & Anna as a part of our team!
Some of our dedicated crew after a long day of stacking logs! Please go to our “Construction” page to see more pictures of our family and crew hard at work! Since this picture, Isaac (left top) and Skyler (far right) have both enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as well, following in Russ, Robert, Joseph and Rebekah’s lead! We are so proud of all of their dedication to our country and thank the Lord for their continued safety.
