D-Log - Butt & Pass
6x8, 8x8, 8x10 or 8x12

The D log is planed smooth on all sides for a more modern appearance. This log system also features a butt-and-pass corner. These time-tested methods of joinery ensure an air-tight seal that keeps the outside elements outside. The logs are locked together with a large, single tongue and groove and a foam gasket and wood-binding sealer are applied between each course before fastening.

Three popular features are brought together in the 8×12 Dovetail D-Log to create a widely desired building system. This log-style combines smooth interior walls with a V-groove and a D-shaped profile on the exterior, the mass, and energy efficiency of the trusted dovetail corner system. This log-on-log system incorporates a single tongue-and-groove, specialized gasket, and a wood-binding sealer between each course.

The exterior surface of The Old Timer log is rough textured and has a groove at one edge that can be finished with or without chinking. The interior surface is smooth and enhances the massive feeling so characteristic in this log style. Dovetail corners complement the look and ensure a tight fit. The logs are locked together with a large single tongue and groove. A foam gasket and wood-binding sealer are applied between each course before fastening.

The Old Timer – Chinked
6x8, 8x8, 8x10, or 8x12

Nothing offers the true feeling of rustic log home living better than a chinked log system. This log features a rough-textured exterior surface, a smooth interior surface, and the traditional look of chinked log joint. This log system is constructed with a solid spline between each log course, and chinking material is applied on both the interior and exterior sides of the wall. Dovetail corners complement the look and ensure a tight fit. The logs are sealed with a large single tongue and groove and fastened together.

Swedish Cope - 10 Round.png

Swedish Cope
6”, 8”, 10” or 12”

Do you love the look of large rustic lodges? You can have that same elegant style for your new log home with our Swedish Cope Round Log. With this option, your log home package will be cut using round timbers for the log walls, ceiling beams, and rafter or roof purlins.

We primarily work with lodgepole or northeastern white pine which has slow growth rings making it more stable to work with.

White pine controls shrinkage and checking easier than your harder woods such as oak or cedar.

Our logs are premium select grade wood and kiln-dried with a
15-20% moisture content.
